Several singers and / or spoken word artists will present 10 minute sets. Made possible by Zoom. Dominic Abrams, a singer songwriter from Canterbury, will close with a half-hour feature. Ive been tuning into these events, and several friends from Boston folk community perform from time to time. It'll be a thrill to return to Cambridge, albeit virtually.

The evening starts at 8pm London time, 5pm Eastern. I should be on at 8:20 pm London time, 3.20 pm Eastern

Friday 8th January 8pm Zoom Open Stage with Special Guest Dominic Abrams. Also appearing are: Bill Katz (USA), Fara Afifi, Rick Drost (USA), David and Barbara, Garrett Swayne (USA), Sam Cooper, Richard Sutton, Paul Colombino (USA), Adam Hayes. Dominic Abrams Cambridge-born Dominic is an academic social psychologist who has had a passion for folk music ever since his father and Ken Woollard established the first Cambridge Folk Festival. In fact, as a 6-year-old, Dominic gave a rendition of ‘The Boy Stood on the Burning Deck’ on Mainstage 1. Dominic now lives in Canterbury, where, drawing on sources ranging from traditional fiddle tunes to country blues and gypsy jazz, he is a member of acoustic group 2point4. Recently, he co-wrote and performed in two musical histories of Faversham, Kent, 'The Skate Boys of Faversham Town' and 'Our Beautiful Town'. 2point4’s album of original songs, ‘Pretend Reel’, was launched in 2019.
